Effects Of Estrogen and Progesterone Used in Oral Contraceptive Pills: A review

Introduction Contraception is a method of avoiding unplanned pregnancy. Combined oral contraceptives (COCs) have become prominent birth control due to their contraceptive efficacy and acceptability profile. The use pills (OCPs) linked several health advantages as well problems. Oral can alter carbohydrate lipid metabolism, including increased in blood glucose, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein LDL total cholesterol. However, these changes may be affected by modification type progesterone used formulation.Objective: the aim this study evaluate effect on glucose levels profile emphasizing many studies that show metabolic parameters such (Fasting serum HbA1c%, cholesterol, LDL, HDL triglyceride level).
